ABOUT ME
April Zeynep
Product designer by trade, storyteller by nature.
I have a literature degree, three furry kids, and a deep conviction that good design and good writing are the same discipline — finding the simplest form for a complex idea and trusting your audience to meet you there.

“I start with the workaround. The best design clues aren’t in the brief — they’re in the hacks.”
Start with the workaround
The best design clues aren’t in the brief — they’re in the hacks. When I see a user paste data into Notepad to reformat it before pasting into a form, that’s a design problem in disguise.
Systems over screens
A screen is a symptom. The real design work is in the system behind it — the mental models, decision flows, and information architecture.
Accessible is better for everyone
If it works for a 68-year-old with low digital literacy, it works for everyone. Accessibility isn’t a checklist — it’s the highest quality bar a design can hit.
I’ve been working as a Product Designer & Consultant since 2020 — from Fintech to AI chatbots, children’s apps, and enterprise design systems.
My clients have ranged from early-stage startups to enterprise SaaS platforms operating at millions-of-user scale. I’ve worked across B2B and B2C — financial operations, API integration tools, healthcare systems, and consumer apps.
I’ve deliberately broadened my skillset into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — not to replace engineering, but because designing with implementation in mind produces better handoffs and fewer “this can’t be built” conversations.
